Interacting with the world around them is an essential skill for youth to learn as they engage in the community, create relationships, and enter the workforce. Therefore, Shifting Mindsets Consulting looks to help at-risk youth and children with disabilities from Marathon, Lincoln, and Langlade counties (ages 3-21) enhance their ability to interact with the world around them through community exposure and targeted goal setting. Comprehensive community services focus on each child's needs and creates an individualized plan with various levels of support. Buy collaborating with school services, families, and children, Shifting Mindset Consulting is able to help at-risk youth and children with disabilities achieve their potential and establish a meaningful life within the community.

Interacting with the world is seen through three lenses during comprehensive community services: social, emotional, and physical. Shifting Mindsets Consulting discusses ideal goals with children and their family and creates a corresponding plan to meet social, emotional, and physical goals. In order to meet the goals, Shifting Mindsets Consulting focuses on real world community engagement alongside in-home services. Shifting Mindsets Consulting representatives often use community events and exposure to further social, emotional, and physical experience.

Through community engagement, Shifting Mindsets Consulting provides the necessary opportunities for children with disabilities and at risk youth to gain practice interacting with a diverse community, allowing them to meet both current and future goals. Much of the goals and work done by Shifting Mindsets Consulting requires a "shift of mindset" which may not be easy, but is always worth the effort!
